The 2008 Puppies

Nipntuck Labradors is excited about our litter born March 2, 2008:

Apple (Nipntuck Miss American Pie) was bred to Drummer (Nipntuck Yell King). Twelve puppies! They are all sold. To those lucky folks getting one of these puppies--enjoy the updates. I will use this page for new pictures.

Apple's dozen at a day shy of five weeks old, enjoying an outing outside with Kate and the Aunties.

Apples' puppies at three weeks old, their first day in the puppy pen in the garage. Their first meal in the flying saucer pan, with Will and two friends, and with Kate. Apple always watching over. Notice how they are still all almost exactly the same size. It is really nice with such a big litter not to have a few smaller ones to worry about getting shoved out of the food. They are all equally piggy. :)

One of the puppies giving his opinion of video games, and the gang already outgrowing the flying saucer pan at mealtime. Three and a half weeks old.

They are four weeks old today and we have snow on the ground for the third day in a row. I am NOT happy! The puppies, on the other hand, know most troubles are forgotten after a nice nap. Especially a dog pile nap with friends. :)

Finally, nice weather, so the puppies had their first outting on the lawn at 4 1/2 weeks old. I couldn't help but think they looked like a nice-sized herd of Angus cattle. . . :)

The puppies outside in their play yard at six and a half weeks old: Playing with the neighborhood kids and still nursing on supermom, Apple. Some people would not let them continue to nurse, but I feel what Apple teaches them from here on out is invaluable. Plus she loves them. :) On 4/17 a randomly selected one weighed in at exactly ten lbs. Nothing like Charm's 20 lb fatties, but that is to be expected with 12 and they still have ten days to grow before they head to their new homes.
